Purpose of personal data processing

Personal data is used for the development of Sacotec Components Oy’s website, communications, marketing, customer relationship management, invoicing, service provision and business development.

Content of data file and data processing

By completing a form on Sacotec Components Oy’s website or by inputting data into any field that so allows, you are giving us the right to process the data you provide and to contact you for any purpose specified by the form or other field. In doing so, you accept the processing of your personal data for the purposes outlined in this privacy policy and using the practices described herein.

When you input your data into our newsletter subscription field, you will receive an email from us confirming your subscription. By clicking the link in the confirmation email, you give us the right to send you our newsletter and to process your data in order to complete this action. We will therefore not send you our newsletter without separate consent. In addition, we may carry out marketing by collecting email addresses for companies and their staff from company websites which publicly display personal data. The recipient of such marketing may block us from sending such marketing to them by contacting Sacotec Components Oy’s data protection officer.

As a site visitor or data subject on the data file, you retain immaterial rights to the content you disclose to us, which you can disclose to us by filling out a form or otherwise inputting data into a field which so allows on Sacotec Components Oy’s website, the platforms it uses (e.g. a feedback form), or the newsletter. As a site user or registered member, you are responsible for ensuring that you are the holder of the copyright for the content you submit. Sacotec Components Oy has the right to use and present such data for the development, production, presentation and marketing of its services.

Data is not disclosed to external or third parties who do not need the data to carry out tasks specified by Sacotec Components Oy. One exception to this is the disclosure of data to officials if legally required to do so.

Sacotec Components Oy procures marketing, communications and sales services from Kasvu Partners Helsinki Oy, which acts as a data processor on Sacotec Components Oy’s behalf. As such, Kasvu Partners Helsinki Oy has access to data content on the register which the company needs in order to perform its tasks.

Transfer of data outside of the EU or EEA

Data may be transferred outside of the EU or EEA within the boundaries of the Personal Data Act in order to technically implement data processing. For example, the servers of service providers used by Sacotec Components Oy may be located outside of the EU or EEA, in which case Sacotec Components Oy will ensure that the service provider is committed to compliance with EU data protection legislation.

Principles of data file protection

The digital customer and marketing register is protected by passwords and only accessible by persons separately authorized by Sacotec Components Oy. Everyone who has access to the data is bound by an obligation to non-disclosure.

User rights

In accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to be forgotten; that is, to be erased from the data file, and to restrict the use of your data. You have the right to have your data transferred to another data file within the boundaries of the law. In addition to these rights, you also have the right to access the data we have collected on you within the boundaries of the law. You have the right to request the rectification or erasure of inaccurate, unnecessary, incomplete, or obsolete personal data within the boundaries of the law. You have the right to receive information about the processing of your personal data and to lodge a complete with the supervisory authority and to object to the automatic processing of your personal data within the boundaries of the law.

You may exercise these rights by unsubscribing from our newsletter subscriber list in the manner described below, or by contacting Sacotec Components Oy’s data protection officer (if you wish for your personal data to be removed from the data file entirely).

Every direct mail we send contains a link where you can stop direct mailing by unsubscribing from the list of recipients, whether the matter concerns our newsletter or a separate marketing/communications campaign. You may also block Sacotec Components Oy from processing your personal data for direct marketing and request that your data be removed from the data file by sending an email to our data protection officer (whose contact information can be found at the bottom of this privacy policy).

When requesting the removal of your personal data from our data file, you must itemize from which data file applications (potentially all) you wish for your data to be removed. If you would like to know more about the applications for which your personal data is processed, you can obtain this information from Sacotec Components Oy’s data protection officer.

Sacotec Components Oy will only retain your personal data for a period of time for which it is relevant for its intended purpose, or until you request Sacotec Components Oy to erase or update your data. You can submit such a request by contacting Sacotec Components Oy’s data protection officer (whose contact information can be found at the bottom of this privacy policy), or in the case of our newsletter, you can remove your data from our register using the link at the bottom of every email you receive from us.

After you have submitted a request for the erasure of your data from the data file, we will remove your personal data from the data file at the first possible opportunity, or you can remove it yourself, depending on the situation. In any case, your data will be removed from the data file no later than within four weeks after submitting the request.

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy, so website users should read it again from time to time.

Grounds for data collection and processing

We process your data in accordance with the EU GDPR. This means that we can process your data based on your consent, on our grounds of legitimate interest, on agreements, and on legal obligations.

In accordance with the Information Society Code (Section 202), companies may send digital direct marketing without consent. If your company is listed on our data file with grounds with reference to this legislation, your employee receiving the marketing may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time, or block marketing entirely. The data subject may unsubscribe from the mailing list using the link at the bottom of every email received from us. The data subject may block us from sending marketing to them entirely by contacting Sacotec Components Oy’s data protection officer. We may collect contact information for companies’ staff from companies’ websites and from other publicly available sources of data.

Sacotec Components Oy retains the right to erase personal data from its data file which it no longer deems appropriate for its purposes.
